Sure Dwelling's Mission
"My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places." Isaiah 32:18.
The Dwelling is intended to document so much more than the building and design of our forever home. Upon the completion of our home, my husband and I plan to receive foster children into our dwelling, hopefully providing the least of these with a peaceful, sure, and quiet place to call home and receive love. Wherever God leads us--from foster care to adoption-- it is my prayer that this home will be the backdrop for His ministry and His perfect will.
While I prayerfully await the time when this all comes to fruition, I will do my best to document my journey as it progresses. For now, this consists primarily of the new build project. After all, you can't pass a home study when there is no home. As we get closer to the completion of the house, I will share more about our PATH training and preparation for fostering. Until then, I hope you enjoy a glimpse into the huge undertaking that is a custom build project. Maybe a reader or two will benefit from our successes and failures along the way.
